” Taqiyya is of fundamental importance in Islam. Practically every Islamic sect agrees to it and practices it … We can go so far as to say that the practice of taqiyya is mainstream in Islam, and that those few sects not practicing it diverge from the mainstream … Taqiyya is very prevalent in Islamic politics, especially in the modern era.” ~Sami Mukaram, At-Taqiyya fi ‘l-Islam (London: Mu’assisat at-Turath ad-Druzi, 2004), p. 7, author’s translation
Misleading, paltering, equivocating, deceiving…all words describing a practice condemned in Judeo-Christian culture. I’m referring to lying. The practice that some have no compunction engaging in today…especially those in the ‘religion of peace’.
I bring this to your attention for a specific reason…
Recently, former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich…a brilliant man…said the following concerning security at airports:
Trending: Liberals Attack Cowboy Code of Ethics
“We don’t even have the right standards. You know, the first test – and this is very hard to do – the first test ought to be, are we dealing with people who believe in Sharia and who want to impose Islamic supremacism?…We don’t have any tests for that.”
Indeed, Mr. Gingrich is correct…there are no tests for that. And sadly, there can BE no tests for that, for one critical reason: Islam permits lying, in different forms, for the sake of Islam and the Muslim.
According to Raymond Ibrahim, author of The Al Qaeda Reader and Crucified Again, said concerning Taqiyya:
“The Islamic doctrine of taqiyya permits Muslims to actively deceive non-Muslims—above and beyond the context of “self-preservation,” as is commonly believed.”
There are other forms of deception in Islam, including Taqiyya…in short, here they are:
Taqiyya – Saying something that isn’t true as it relates to the Muslim identity.
Kitman – Lying by omission. An example would be when Muslim apologists quote only a fragment of verse 5:32 (that if anyone kills “it shall be as if he had killed all mankind”) while neglecting to mention that the rest of the verse (and the next) mandate murder in undefined cases of “corruption” and “mischief.”
Tawriya – Intentionally creating a false impression.
Muruna – ‘Blending in’ by setting aside some practices of Islam or Sharia in order to advance others.
Muhammad clearly used deception (though not called Taqiyya at the time) when he signed a 10-year treaty with the Meccans, which he broke two years later. A number of the people of Mecca, who had trusted him at his word, were executed.
Each of these terms above describes a different style of deception used by Muslims when discussing Islam or their activities as Muslims:
- Muhammad notably said, “War is deceit.” (Bukhari, Vol. 4, Book 52, Number 268)
- The Quran boasts that Allah is the “master of all scheming” (Surah 13:42) and that he is “profound in his machinations” (Surah 8:30).
Taqiyya is the most practiced form of Islamic deception, and therein lies the reason why there can be no test to prevent a Sharia compliant Muslim from infiltrating the most vulnerable areas of our national security.
It’s impossible for authorities in the West to discern between a taqiyya-practicing Muslim and a so-called moderate Muslim. And let’s remember…we have already seen individuals who were ‘moderate’ Muslims, before they weren’t (e.g. Nidal Hasan, the Ft. Hood jihadist; Asan Akbar 101st Airborne Division).
Are we in trouble? Well, as long as the Muslim world views the West as weak and appeasing…as our current leaders have demonstrated to them…the answer is unequivocally: Hellz yeah!
Shalom through strength…
