Will Democrats Protect Their Own by Opposing Justice For All Resolution?

Conservatives have been asking for years, when will Democrats be held accountable for their many illegal and unethical actions?

When will people like Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, James Comey, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, James Clapper, Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch, Andrew McCabe and Robert Mueller, and many others , have to pay the penalties for their many illegal actions?

This is why Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) has introduced the Justice for All Resolution.

This bill would require equal treatment and punishment for anyone who lies to Congress, regardless of their political affiliation, position or status.

The question is, will Democrats fight and block the bill, proving that they only care about protecting their own instead of what is right and fair?

United States Congressman Matt Gaetz – Congressman Matt Gaetz Unveils the Justice For All Resolution – Congressman Matt Gaetz (FL-01) today has introduced new legislation, known as the “Justice for All Resolution.” The resolution would require equal punishment for those who lie to Congress regardless of politics, fame, or elections.

Roger Stone, a long-time political operative, was recently arrested on five counts of allegedly lying to Congress. 29 FBI agents and 17 vehicles arrived at his house to arrest him in a pre-dawn raid. Mr. Stone, however, is one of the few people who have been prosecuted for lying to Congress.

In a 2007 essay in the Quinnipiac Law Review, Mr. P.J. Meitl wrote that “almost no one is prosecuted for lying to Congress,” and that “only six people have been convicted of perjury or related charges in relation to Congress in the last sixty years.” However, several high-profile public figures have been shown to have lied under oath, or to have knowingly provided false information, to Congress, but have faced no punishment. These include James Clapper, James Comey, John Brennan, Andrew McCabe, Eric Holder, Lois Lerner, and Hillary Clinton.

“Lying to Congress is a serious offense,” Rep. Gaetz said. “Unfortunately, it often seems that we have a two-tiered justice system at work; certain people have the book thrown at them, while others face no consequences at all for their behavior. This is unfair and wrong, and I hope to correct this with my resolution.” …

I recall back in December, posting a piece written by Don Feder in which he asked the question: ‘Why isn’t it a crime for Congress to lie to us?’

The legislation introduced by Gaetz is great in holding anyone who lies to Congress accountable, but many Americans would also like to see a piece of legislation that makes it illegal for any member of Congress or the federal administration to lie to the American people.

If that would happen, people like Obama, Clinton, Comey, Holder, Lynch and Elizabeth Warren would all be in serious legal trouble.
