VIDEO: Doctor Says Three-Quarters of Obamacare Enrollees Have Higher Premiums

Despite the Democrats’ ridiculous and false claims to the contrary, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is not proving to be affordable at all. Obamacare is actually making healthcare less accessible to Americans as a result. Dr. Delos “Toby” Cosgrove, CEO of the Cleveland Clinic, appeared on Fox News Sunday and made this startling announcement:

People who have signed up, about three-quarters of them find that their premiums are higher than they had been previously with other insurance.

The “horror stories” that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid so easily dismisses as “lies” are sadly becoming a reality for more and more people in our country.

Obamacare will also have a negative effect on healthcare providers. Dr. Cosgrove further explained the ACA’s financial impact on doctors and hospitals:

Now, what we do know is it’s going to have a major effect on healthcare providers. We know for example that we are going to be paid less for what we do.

Medicare is taking about $415 billion out of Medicare expenses over the next ten years. So, hospitals are going to be paid less for what they do, and we also know that insurers are paying less for what we do too.

This explains why a shocking 70 percent of all doctors in California are boycotting the state’s Obamacare health insurance exchange. And worse still, a recent survey indicates that more than 60 percent of doctors are planning to leave their medical practices early as a direct result of Obamacare’s destructive changes to healthcare. Another 55 percent of doctors surveyed also believe that their colleagues will scale back hours of service, and three-quarters think that many of our young people will reconsider pursuing a career in medicine.

All of this doesn’t bode well for Obamacare. And it also explains why most Democrats are rapidly distancing themselves from this monstrosity as the midterm elections loom on the horizon. Polls indicate, however, that the American public plans to hold them accountable for their earlier support of this legislation. We can only hope so.
