Values Bus Rediscovers America’s Routes!

It’s only been 11 days, but FRC Action’s Values Bus Tour has already made over 15 stops in seven states since kicking off from the Values Voter Summit in Washington, D.C.! Since leaving our nation’s capital, the bus has stopped in Ohio, Indiana, Nebraska, Iowa, Arkansas, as well as Missouri, Oklahoma, and Kansas just this week. FRC Action is encouraging voters to stand up and vote their values in this upcoming election cycle!

There were 39 million voting-eligible Christians who did not vote four years ago – and 26 million of these were registered. The goal of the tour is to get values-drive people the tools they need to register and understand where the candidates stand on important issues, and then motivate them to go and vote their values on Election Day. In addition to the presidential race, there are almost 500 other federal races, thousands of state races, not to mention the even greater number of local races on the ballot this year.

During their visit, Brent Keilen, Director of FRC Action, said, “Look at the candidates, don’t stay home, and make sure that you get out and support candidates who are going to stand up for the issues that you care about.” Yesterday, the Values Bus stopped in Arkansas to encourage citizens in the city of Springdale to vote their values and created plenty of media buzz, including radio interviews and news interviews. In Blues Springs, Missouri the bus made an appearance at the city’s Fun Fall Festival Parade — reaching thousands of people along the way. And the FRCA team aren’t the only ones who are energized! People seem genuinely encouraged about what FRC and FRCA are doing to defend religious freedom before November.

After wrapping up at Oklahoma Wesleyan University earlier today, the Values Bus will head to Kansas and then to Colorado for a stops Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Speakers from Concerned Women for America, a co-sponsor of the Values Bus Tour, have participated in many of the stops.
