US Withdrawal from Syria in Conditional

When Us troops were first sent into Syria to fight with the rebels who were fighting against ISIS and Syrian government forces, many Democrats and the mainstream media reacted negatively.

They were against sending US troops into another country to participate in another civil war, but it was done mostly to fight ISIS and stop the Islamic terrorist organization from taking control of the country and killing tens of thousands more citizens than they have already murdered.

When President Donald Trump announced that he intended to withdraw troops from Syria, many of the same Democrats and mainstream media again criticized the announcement.

National Security Adviser John Bolton may have eased some of the criticism from the Democrats and media by announcing that the US withdrawal from Syria is conditional.

BBC News – Syria conflict: Bolton says US withdrawal is conditional – The withdrawal of US troops from Syria depends on certain conditions, US National Security Adviser John Bolton says, in a further indication that the process is being slowed down.

On a trip to Israel and Turkey, he said he would seek Turkish assurances that Kurds in northern Syria would be safe.

The US also wants to ensure that the remnants of the Islamic State (IS) group are defeated, he added.

President Donald Trump has faced strong criticism over the planned US pullout.

When he first announced the move in the middle of December, he said: “They’re all coming back and they’re coming back now.”

After the president made his announcement on 19 December, US officials said American forces had been given 30 days to leave Syria…

For the past few years, I have been a strong advocate about bringing most of America’s troops stationed in the Middle East, home.

I understand the need to fight and defeat terrorist groups like ISIS, Taliban, al Qaeda and others, but we also have to be realistic.

The different tribes, ethnic groups and religious sects have been warring with each other for over a thousand years.

What makes anyone in their right mind think that the US can end a millennium of warring and fighting?

It’s not going to happen, so why risk the lives and health of our men and women for something we are NOT going to be able to stop?

I advocate that we immediately withdraw all US troops in the Middle East and station them along America’s borders.

It’s about time our military protect America and Americans here at home!
