Trump Tells Crowd that Jussie Smollett Case is Disgrace to Nation

If you recall, Empire actor Jussie Smollett apparently staged an attack on himself and then claimed he was attacked because he is a black gay man, by a pair of Trump supporters.

It turns out that Smollett hired two men who work on the set with him to carry out the fake hate crime.

Then, the Chicago prosecutor dropped all charges against Smollett, a move that outraged the Chicago police chief and much of the nation.

On Saturday, President Trump was speaking at political rally in Wisconsin, when he said that the Smollett case is a disgrace to the nation.

Fox News – Trump slams Jussie Smollett case as a ‘disgrace to our nation’ during Wisconsin rally – President Donald Trump derided actor Jussie Smollett as “third rate” during a Wisconsin rally on Saturday and called his legal trouble — in which he allegedly lied about Trump supporters attacking him in a hate crime — a “disgrace to our nation.”

“That case in Chicago is a disgrace to our nation,” he said, after defending his supporters. “He said ‘I was beaten up by MAGA country.’ Can you believe it?” Trump said, referring to Smollett during a rally in Green Bay.

“Turned out to be a total lie,” he added.

Smollett’s case ignited a media firestorm after the “Empire” actor, who is gay and black, said his alleged attackers yelled, “This is MAGA country.” …

Even though the Chicago prosecutor dropped the multiple felony charges against Smollett, that doesn’t free Smollett from federal prosecution.

Hopefully, federal prosecutors will press federal felony charges against the actor and he will be convicted and sent to prison.

Smollett supposedly staged the stunt to get more money for his role on the show, but it demonstrates the level some blinded liberals will go to make Trump look bad and blame him for their own crimes.
