Trump Intensifies Battle with Democrats over Border Wall

It was announced earlier this week that Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is more afraid of the Democrat minority than he is of President Donald and the American people.

He announced that he would pass a spending bill without any funding for a border wall, just avoid a government shutdown because Democrats way they won’t budge on not funding the wall.

The majority of the American people say they want a border wall, but McConnell doesn’t care.

However, President Trump does care and has vowed to boycott any Democrat bills until he gets the funding for a border wall to stop illegal human and drug trafficking.

The Washington Times – Trump threatens to boycott Democrats’ bills over border wall fight – President Trump threatened Thursday to boycott Democrats’ legislation if they continue to fight him on the border wall.

The Democrats, who know Steel Slats (Wall) are necessary for Border Security, are putting politics over Country. What they are just beginning to realize is that I will not sign any of their legislation, including infrastructure, unless it has perfect Border Security. U.S.A. WINS!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 20, 2018

While it appears that Republicans have backed down on the target figure for the border wall, Mr. Trump’s words make it clear the fight will continue in a divided Congress.

The White House signaled on Tuesday that it might accept less than the $5 billion that Mr. Trump originally wanted for the border wall…

When Democrats had control of the  US Senate and Chuck Schumer was the Majority Leader, he didn’t blink at an eye about anything Senate Republicans said or threatened to do, he just did what he and Obama wanted to do.

McConnell is nothing more than a spineless coward who has resented a political outsider like Donald Trump winning the White House.

The problem is, some political analysts and commentators are already predicting that Trump will not win a second term in office in 2020 if he does not procure funding for the border wall.

Many Americans realized the importance of protecting the US border and that played a large role in their voting for Trump in 2016, that and the promise to repeal and/or replace Obamacare, another Trump campaign promise that McConnell scuttled.
