Trump Administration Does End Around UN Court Ruling

Unlike former Presidents who were afraid to do anything about Iran’s hostile actions and inhumane treatment of some people, President Donald Trump has taken action by imposing stiff sanctions against the enemy nation.

The sanctions, meant to hurt Iran financially and in other ways, were obviously working, causing Iran to turn to the United Nations International Court of Justice (ICJ) – an international court that supports tyrants and socialist governments while ruling against countries like the United States and Israel.

The ICJ ruled that many of the sanctions imposed by the United States violated a 1955 treaty between the US and Iran, so the sanctions had to be lifted.

Instead of lifting the sanctions, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced that the US was terminating the 1955 treaty, saying it should have been terminated decades ago.

(The Hill) – The United States is officially terminating a 1955 treaty with Iran after an international court issued a ruling based on the treaty this week, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced Wednesday.

“I’m announcing that the United States is terminating the 1955 Treaty of Amity with Iran,” Pompeo said at a press briefing. “This is a decision frankly that is 39 years overdue.”

It is unclear what practical effect terminating the treaty will have, given that the United States already lacks diplomatic relations with Iran. But coupled with harsher rhetoric on allegations of Iranian threats to the United States in Iraq, Wednesday’s announcement follows the pattern of the Trump administration upping its pressure on Iran following President Trump‘s withdrawal from the nuclear accord in May.

Pompeo’s announcement came hours after the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the United Nation’s highest court, ordered the United States to lift some sanctions against Iran that affect imports of humanitarian goods and products…

The ruling of the United Nations kangaroo court is another good reason why the United States would be better off withdrawing completely from the socialist one-world government organization.

Over the past decade, especially (with the help and support of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton), the United Nations has been trying to exert authority over the United States in a number of areas.

Obama asked the United Nations to watch over a national election and the UN has tried to push their anti-gun treaties on the US.

America could save millions of dollars along with the lives of American military personnel by withdrawing from the UN and kicking their New York complex out of the country.
