“Keep your hands off my body!” is the familiar cry of leftists whenever someone suggests opposing deviant sex or not murdering unborn babies. But as always, that which leftists accuse others of doing is that of which they are guilty. In other words, leftists are the ones who have implemented policies that put their hands on your body and every other aspect of your life.
Whoopi Goldberg provides a recent example of a leftist resorting to the hysterical cry. Breitbart reported on her raging against talk of defunding Planned Parenthood on a September episode of “The View.”
Goldberg said, “Wait a minute. Wait a minute. You know what in people [sic] get pregnant in all kinds of ways and people cannot always afford the baby — God says, if you have an issue, come to me. Nobody else can judge you. So here’s my question — now that they defunded Planned Parenthood and perhaps forgotten why Planned Parenthood came into being —people got tired of tripping over women with hangers hanging out of their bodies because they were giving themselves these abortions. It was supposed to be safe and clean. So, explain to me now what you’re going to do. Because if you think this is going to stop women from doing it, it’s not. People who are desperate enough to have an abortion, they feel they need it. Get out of my vagina.”
Everything Goldberg said is wrong. She’s wrong about what God says. She’s wrong about believing that I and everyone else should fund murder. And she’s wrong about Planned Parenthood being a good thing. The U.S. should put it out-of-business and criminalize all abortion since abortion is murder and violates the Constitution which guarantees every innocent person life.
So Goldberg whiffs on all counts.
But there really are examples of people being unable to keep their hands of others’ bodies. Yet those examples all show leftists—not conservatives or anyone else—as being the guilty party.
The Observer reported on Sep. 16 that federal health regulations let businesses tell people how much they should weigh.
Penalizing employees for pounds is perfectly legal. Under provisions in the Affordable Care Act, 2014, employers can charge employees an extra 30 percent of the total cost (employer and employee portions) of individual or family health benefits coverage if they don’t meet specific wellness goals, including body mass index (BMI). This is up from 20 percent, which was imposed in 2006 and permitted under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act regulations (HIPPAA). Prior to 2006, employees couldn’t be penalized for missing a wellness target.
As many as 14,000 residents of Seattle have been “tagged” by garbage collectors and full-time city waste inspectors for throwing too many “compostables” in the trash – including uneaten food and organic waste such as apple cores, egg shells and coffee grounds. . . .
After Jan. 1, 2016, Seattle residents will be subject to fines of $1 per violation for individuals and $50 for commercial establishments if the content of their trash bins exceeds the approved limit.
So if anyone wants to scream about people needing to get their hands off our bodies, he should scream at leftists for putting their hands on our bodies and on every other part of our lives.
Telling Goldberg and her fellow leftists this won’t do any good, of course. Truth is worthless to them. But others might listen.
