Isn’t education supposed to be a place of free expression of ideas?
In today’s America, many schools only allow the free expression of socialist, liberal and anti-American ideas, but not Christian ideas.
Polly Olsen, a student at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, had dared to leave the free speech zone this past February 14, and walked around campus handing out free, scripture-themed Valentine’s Day cards.
She was stopped by a security officer and told that she was being disruptive and violating school policy.
She is now suing the college, claiming that their Public Assembly Policy is unconstitutional and that they violated her constitutional rights.
(Daily Wire) – Polly Olsen is suing Northeast Wisconsin Technical College after being labeled “disruptive” for passing out Christian-themed valentines outside her school’s free-speech zone.
On February 14, 2018, Olsen said she walked around campus and handed out valentines that said “Jesus Loves You! Romans 5:8,” “You are special! 1 John 4:11,” “God is love John 4:11,” and “You are loved and cared for! 1 Peter 5:7.” About fifteen minutes in, she said a campus security guard told her that she was breaking school policy for “soliciting,” despite handing out the valentines for free.
In an interview with The Daily Wire, Olsen said she asked the security officer why she could not hand out the valentines, and he told her it was because the content may be found to be offensive.
Later, she said she had a meeting with the school’s director of diversity that confirmed the policy to her…
Many colleges have tried to silence any and all conservative, patriotic and Christian speech on their campuses.
After several lawsuits, many have created free speech zones which are generally placed in an obscure location and even then, one needs permission to use the free speech zone, meaning it’s not free at all.
This isn’t liberalism at work, it’s atheistic socialism at work and it will continue to spread more and more until Christians stand up and take action to win America back as One Nation Under God, which requires a national revival with lots of prayer and God’s help.
