During the 2016 presidential campaign, Donald Trump accused the Obama administration, including the Department of Justice and FBI, or conspiring against him to prevent him from being elected, but the Obama administration denied the allegations.
Trump also claimed he and his campaign were being spied upon by the Obama administration and again, the Obama administration denied the allegations.
Then we learned that in fact, Obama’s FBI was spying on a member of Trump’s campaign and that they used the bogus Steele dossier as evidence to obtain the FISA warrant.
Then we learned that members of the DOJ/FBI had conspired against Trump to first prevent him from being elected and then to scuttle his presidency once he was inaugurated and that former FBI agent Peter Strzok and former FBI attorney Lisa Page were at the heart of the conspiracy.
Thousands of text messages between the two were discovered but text messages exchanged between them while they worked with Robert Mueller on his probe of Trump and Russia disappeared after their phones were reset for others to use.
The Washington Times – Strzok, Page messages from Mueller probe lost after phone resets: IG – Investigators weren’t able to find any text messages between fired agent Peter Strzok and former bureau lawyer Lisa Page from their time on special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe because by the time their phones were recovered, they’d been reset for others’ use, an inspector general said Thursday.
In fact, the FBI’s data collection tool misses about 10 percent of text messages sent on Samsung Galaxy S7 devices — the same phones issued to Mr. Strzok and Ms. Page. That rate doubles to about 20 percent for an earlier model of the phone also used by the two FBI officials.
The revelations came in a report Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz released to detail the efforts his team made to try to recover the texts between the two, who traded anti-Trump messages during the course of an adulterous affair they were having…
After everything that happened with Hillary Clinton and her alleged deleted emails, the news of the loss of text messages between Strzok and Page sounds too coincidental.
After all of the other evidence of wrong doing of Strzok and Page, one would think that more care would have been taken to preserve the text messages.
Or, was the resetting of the phones intentional to hide other or more evidence of wrong doing that could have been even more incriminating not only to Strzok and Page, but also to Mueller.
