As Christians across the country hear about the situation facing Houston pastors and churches who have been subpoenaed in a blatant act of intimidation by Mayor Annise Parker, their initial disbelief that this is happening in the United States is quickly transformed to unity in standing with their brothers and sisters in Texas. To date, over 50,000 have signed FRC’s petition supporting those affected in Houston (you can still do so here!). And churches nationwide are gearing up to take part in “I Stand Sunday” – a nationwide simulcast next Sunday, November 2nd at 6:00 p.m. CT/7:00 p.m. ET. Webcast live from one of the subpoenaed Houston churches — Grace Community Church — I Stand Sunday will bring focus to the ongoing attack on religious freedom in Houston and how this affects the rest of the country. Joining me will be the five subpoenaed Houston pastors along with speakers like David & Jason Benham; SBC President Ronnie Floyd; Gov. Mike Huckabee, Al & Phil Robertson of Duck Dynasty fame; Vision America President Dr. Rick Scarborough; Erik Stanley of Alliance Defending Freedom, and Todd Starnes of Fox News Radio.
