My dear brothers and sisters in Christ: if you vote for the Republican nominee you must vote for him in this knowledge, that he states he finds no need for forgiveness, basically saying he has no sin. Therefore he does not ask God for forgiveness.
Compare this to 1 John 1:10—“If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.” In denying a need for forgiveness, Trump calls our Lord a liar, essentially saying there was no need for the Crucifixion. Test the spirits further.
1 John 4:1-6—“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. 4 Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 5 They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them. 6 We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.”
Even so, Trump claims to be a Christian, then turns on Ted Cruz and other Republican candidates who are Christians, attacking them, lying about them, condemning them, and castigating them. Compare all that with 1 John 4:20—“If anyone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.”
1 John 3:15 states the case more strongly: “Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.”
Further, in 2 John verse 7 we read: “For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.”
How can you vote for the spirit of error, a liar, a deceiver, a murderer, an antichrist? Such a vote supports an evildoer, making you an accomplice, holding the Gospel up for ridicule. (It goes without saying a vote for the Democrat nominee is no improvement.)
