Shutting down mosques is something we should “strongly consider.”

So says Donald Trump, who during an interview on MSNBC added, “The hatred is incredible. It’s embedded. The hatred is beyond belief.”

The interior minister of France, in the wake of the attacks which left 129 dead, has also called for the “dissolution of mosques where hate is preached.”

Seem too radical a concept? According to the Center for Security Policy, 95% of all Muslims attend a mosque that promotes jihad.

As Justice Robert H. Jackson wrote in a 1949 free speech case, “The Constitution is not a suicide pact.”

We are not obligated to tolerate those who want to kill us.
