SHOCK: Mueller Office Refutes Fake News that Trump Ordered Cohen to Lie to Congress

Ever since the formation of the special counsel investigation into Russian election interference and any connection or collusion with Donald Trump or members of his campaign with Russia, it has been obvious to many that Robert Mueller has be and still is targeting President Donald Trump.

DOJ Deputy Director Rod Rosenstein has repeatedly given Mueller wider leeway than necessary, allowing him to investigate every rabbit-trail he comes across.

Last week, BuzzFeed News reported that Mueller’s team has documents and testimony proving that President Donald Trump ordered his then personal attorney Michael Cohen to lie to Congress about Trump’s business dealings in Moscow.

To the surprise of many, Mueller’s office issued a statement refuting most of what BuzzFeed reported, showing that BuzzFeed is guilty of spreading fake news with the intent to hurt Trump.

The Epoch Times – Mueller’s Office Disputes BuzzFeed Report on Former Trump Lawyer – It claims that Trump told Cohen to lie about Trump Tower Project in Moscow – Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office on Jan. 18, said it was disputing a report from BuzzFeed News that claimed President Donald Trump had directed his former lawyer Michael Cohen to lie to Congress about the timing of talks for a Trump Tower project in Moscow.

“BuzzFeed’s description of specific statements to the Special Counsel’s Office, and characterization of documents and testimony obtained by this office, regarding Michael Cohen’s Congressional testimony are not accurate,” Peter Carr, a spokesman for Mueller’s office, said in a rare statement from the special counsel.

The BuzzFeed report cited two unnamed law enforcement sources, claiming that Cohen told investigators working for Mueller that Trump had directed him to lie about talks with a Russian official for a Moscow Trump Tower. The alleged lie was that talks fell through in January 2016 when they actually ended in June 2016, in order to be in line with Trump’s “disavowals of commercial and political ties” to Russia…

If Mueller did have evidence that Trump ordered Cohen to lie to Congress, you can be assured that not only would everyone know it, but so would the Democratic leaders in Congress.

Such a charge would be sufficient to spur an impeachment on obstruction of justice charges, like those Bill Clinton were convicted of during his impeachment.

Democrats are so intent on dethroning Trump that they would be dancing in the streets if what BuzzFeed reported was true.

As hard as it is to say, I have to commend the Mueller office for refuting BuzzFeed’s fake news.
