SCOTUS Rules in Favor of President Trump Transgender Military Ban (For Now)

A Sign of More Pro-Family Rulings to Come?

On July 26, 2017, President Trump issued a consequential executive order through his Twitter social media profile. The contents of the tweets provoked a firestorm, as did the manner in which he issued the order. Following the advice of the United States Armed Forces top leaders, President Trump decided that so-called transgendered soldiers would no longer be allowed to serve in the United States military.

Here are the successive tweets declaring his intentions:

Trending: Feinstein Guilty of Violation of Federal Act

As expected, the left-wing legacy media and their LGBT cohorts raised hell about this.

“This is discrimination!”

“Transgenders are just as capable as anyone else to serve in the military.”

“Donald Trump betrays the LGBT!”

And so on.

Why Transgenderism Took Over the Military

How did this social engineering begin? With President Obama. His intentions to homosexualize and transform the military should have come as no surprise. In 2010, Congress had already passed legislation repealing “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”, allowing American soldiers to serve openly as homosexuals in the United States Military.

During the 2012 election, Vice President Joe Biden forced Obama’s hand on gay marriage during a general election interview the former US Senator from Delaware indicated that his running mate did in fact support gay marriage, but hadn’t said anything yet. The conflict between the President and Vice President that year forced Obama to admit what he had supported all along anyway.

From there, Obama fully launched into imposing his LGBT agenda through federal regulation and mandates. The Department of Education insisted that public schools accommodate transgendered students. And in 2015, he would indicate in his State of the Union speech that year the military would protect transgendered soldiers rather than having them discharged.

Indeed, Obama had declared that he wanted to fundamentally transform the United States. No one realized that this transformation would include weakening the United States military with social experimentation.

What’s really at Stake

The purpose of government is to protect the rights of citizens and to ensure the safety and security of the nation and its people. The military is a vital component of this purpose. Pushing transgenderism undermines these core concerns.

Transgenderism is a mental illness, not a civil right. There is nothing in natural law which forces other people to embrace, let alone entertain the lie that a man can become a woman, and vice versa.

During the 2016 GOP Presidential election debate, Governor Mike Huckabee wittily explained the true purpose of the armed forces:

“The military is not a social experiment. The purpose of the military is kill people and break things.”

Kill all enemies, foreign and domestic; break down threatened opposition to our nation, at home and abroad—That sums it up. With his decision to bring in gender-confused and mutilated members to the armed forces, Obama undermined the might and readiness of our military.

In stark contrast, President Trump wants to Make America Great Again, and that includes the United States Armed Forces, and that means removing transgendered individuals.

Transgenderism: A Military Disorder

This decision is more than a rigorous restoration of fighting trim and tradition. Most men and women in the military who seek to transition enlisted in the military for precisely that reason. Once enlisted, individuals would petition for sex-reassignment surgery, and federal tax dollars paid for it. Once those “soldiers” undergo those life-altering surgeries, they are incapable of active duty for at least three years! The cost would have been substantial, totaling in the billions according to the Family Research Council.

Once again, the military exists to protect our citizens’ rights and our nation’s borders. The idea of allowing individuals with mental illness to serve in the armed forces—and make us pay to enable this delusion—is just unconscionable.

Thankfully, after a year and a half of injunctions and holds against this decree, the United State Supreme Court ruled in the 5-4 decision (with President Trump’s two confirmations joining the majority), that the president’s ban could continue while different lower courts were litigating against the order.

What does this mean for the future of the LGBT Agenda at the federal level, specifically in the court system?

1. A solid conservative voting bloc in the Supreme Court will not bend the rules or cull the Constitution in the name of “Transgender rights.”
2. Just as the Supreme Court upheld the implementation of President Trump’s travel ban while that order faced ongoing litigation, and later that order was upheld in full; so too we can expect this transgender ban to remain in effect for good once the case reaches the Supreme Court, if they choose to grant the case a final hearing.
3. This victory for natural law and biological fact should encourage pro-family activists in the United States (and around the world) that in more ways than not they have an ally in the White House.
4. There is no pre-determined outcome that LGBT insanity will become a stable, incontrovertible fact in our country or around the world. A militant, unyielding homosexual agenda is not a foregone conclusion.

Let’s just hope that more litigation to affirm natural rights becomes the norm throughout the United States, with possible cases overturn Roe v. Wade and Obergefell v. Hodges in the near future.
