Donald Trump was on fire Monday night at a Dallas rally, with over 15,000 in attendance. He hit all the important issues: illegal immigration, care of veterans, trade and jobs. But a moment very few have commented on dramatically demonstrates one of the things that most appeals with middle America.
After telling the crowd that all the media pundits and prognosticators have been proven wrong time and again (showing they have as much credibility as weathermen) Trump took to exposing the lame-stream media.
After, stating that “CNN” (which was present at the rally, along with Fox News, CBS, NBC, MSNBC and a plethora of other media) “was 50% okay,” Trump turned to all the live news network cameras and asked:
Now if you like the media give them a big hand. And if you don’t like them, give them a big boo!
After a raucous chorus of boos Trump said, “I had a feeling!”
Trump has shown conservatives very clearly that the best way do deal with their opponents is not to apologize, or to play nice with them as so many of the elites and leaders do all the time. Rather Trump’s M.O. is very simple: expose, ridicule, and humiliate the opposition.
Some conservatives think this is wrong. They think its boorish and juvenile. They think it’s un-presidential.
But they’re wrong. Frankly, its about time someone started fighting back. And finally someone of stature is taking it to the biggest opponents of all: the media.
Donald Trump has truly done something no other conservative or Republican has ever done before him.
He’s TRUMPED the media.
