An Astronomy professor offered a free Christian book to any student who wanted one. One student took the free book then attempted to blackmail the professor into changing his grade.

When the professor declined, the student complained to the school and the administration unconstitutionally denied the professor’s religious freedom, reprimanded him and warned him against his religious beliefs.

Nearly a year later, he sent an end of year letter to his students encouraging them to work hard, find genuine satisfaction, and become an influence for good. The letter included one word, “God,” which got him fired.
