The enemy of our souls, and the enemy of our nation, roams about seeking whom he may devour.
This is not a time for games.
So much wasted time; years wasted hiding from the world that is crumbling around us.
Distractions; devices, activities, social media, sports –sin; designed to take our eyes off the prize.

Many times our hobbies become distractions from our true calling, if we are indeed blessed enough to know what that calling is. If we don’t know what our purpose is, time spent in quiet reflection seeking that answer would be a wise use of aforementioned time.
Often our avocational activities take the form of groups, clubs, and guilds. These types of groups tend to increase the pressure of play and relaxation into something more akin to work; schedules to keep, events to plan, members to manage.
What was once meant for relaxation has now become a second, or third job.
What to do?
Cease recreational activities?
Cut ties with friends?
Step down within the club?
None of these options seem reasonable when standing knee deep in the emotional prospect of losing friends, or fun but many times that is exactly what is necessary.
Humans desire companionship, we all seek it, we all crave it, we all need it, lest we go insane.
As Clint Eastwood said :
“A man’s got to know his limitations”
And I do!
I have become very familiar with how my brain works; how far I can push myself; and when to back off.
Now is not one of those times.
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
For a few years now, I have found myself driven; driven by a purpose that has eclipsed all others, yet I have still tried to maintain at least a scant interest in having fun. From time to time a break is necessary.
That all consuming purpose is the fierce defense of our Founding principles. God, the Bible, the Constitution, Liberty, and Freedom.
I have figuratively enlisted in an Army of American Patriots and have spent my days on the front lines of this Cultural Cold War, which is now heating up.
While it hurts me to leave those behind that seek only to strike an ostrich-like pose and hope that things will be better in the morning, I am not wired that way.
I will stand and fight; I will rise in the morning and do my best to put off childish things; I will read, pray and continue studying to show myself approved; a workman able to rightly divide the word of Truth.
I will take that Truth to battle, and cease wielding it only when it is pried from my cold dead hands.
THESE are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman.
Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.
What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated
1 Corinthians 1:13
When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.
Friends, how I wish that this were a time of leisure; at time of rest; a time of peaceful languor. Tragically, it is not.
It is a time for iron to sharpen iron; a time, above all times, to not forsake the assembling together with the brethren.
This is a time for the remnant to coalesce before we are put in cages by the powers-that-be.
Awaken my friends, the enemy is at the door. Wipe the tears from your eyes, put your knee in the dirt and pray that a just God will have mercy on a Nation that deserves none; pray that our enemies will not subjugate us; pray that the spiritual wickedness of progressivism does not further influence us and pray that we have the strength to carry on.
Our days as summer soldiers are long past.
