Nintendo Succumbs To Pressure To Push ‘Gay’ Agenda On Our Children

Following a vigorous social media campaign launched by fans last month, Nintendo expressed their refusal to bow to the pressure of the homosexual agenda on May 6. The Japanese company said it would not allow players to engage in same-sex romantic activities or “gay marriages” with characters in their English editions of Tomodachi Life, a life simulation video game primarily marketed to children over the age of eight.

“Nintendo never intended to make any form of social commentary with the launch of Tomodachi Life,” Nintendo of America said in a statement. But throw in a little homofascist intimidation and “Wa-lah!” – all resistance to aberrant homoerotic behavior amazingly disappears.

After initially standing up to the backlash, Nintendo suddenly and sadly caved to their obstinate demands. In a later statement, the company reversed course and pledged “to design a gameplay experience from the ground up that is more inclusive, and better represents all players” in future releases of the popular game.

And worse than that, the video game giant also went so far as to offer an official apology for “disappointing many people by failing to include same-sex relationships.” What about apologizing for consenting to introduce young children to a dangerous and immoral lifestyle?

“Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to change this game’s design, and such a significant development change can’t be accomplished with a post-ship patch,” the company explained. “At Nintendo, dedication has always meant going beyond the games to promote a sense of community, and to share a spirit of fun and joy.” And as everybody knows, nothing says “fun and joy” more than the death and disease that even the CDC acknowledges is associated with the homosexual lifestyle.

When Nintendo initially stood up to the homosexual rancor, Tye Marini, a “gay” 23-year-old Nintendo fan from Mesa, Arizona, initiated a social media effort on Twitter and Facebook last month. Marini asked fans of the game and same-sex “marriage” proponents to post their support by using the hashtag #Miiquality and sending complaint letters to Nintendo. A Mii is a digital avatar used in Nintendo’s Wii, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS gaming consoles.

The game’s personalized avatars live on a virtual island where, according to the AP, “they can do things like shop, visit an amusement park, play games, go on dates and encounter celebrities like Christina Aguilera and Shaquille O’Neal.” Apparently, though, that just wasn’t enough for the never-satisfied, uncompromising militant LGBTQ gang.

“I want to be able to marry my real-life fiancé’s Mii, but I can’t do that,” Marini whined in a video posted online. “My only options are to marry some female Mii, to change the gender of either my Mii or my fiancé’s Mii or to completely avoid marriage altogether and miss out on the exclusive content that comes with it.” It seems to me that somebody really needs to remind this person that we’re only talking about a silly game. In a literal sense, they’re not actually being deprived of anything, but the desensitization of our children to the sin of sodomy does, however, represent a legitimate danger.

The Christian Post reported that the Miiquality campaign gained steam through additional media support:

Fans angry about the ‘gay marriage’ exclusion had pushed for mainstream media and TV shows to maintain pressure on Nintendo, and John Oliver in the HBO series “Last Week Tonight” allowed fans to submit a video for the show that displayed various Nintendo characters such as Mario, Toad, Link, Bowser and Yoshi engaging in gay marriage ceremonies and other homosexual activities.

‘While this is bittersweet, Bowser has just received death benefits after the death of his longtime partner Donkey Kong,’ joked Oliver, showing the infamous Mario villain standing over the grave of his alleged fallen lover.

Oliver’s comments are supposed to be funny, but those of us who still hold to God’s standard for marriage aren’t laughing. There’s nothing funny at all about the destruction of the family.

Unfortunately, Nintendo has now joined the cacophony of companies who have capitulated to the demands of the anti-Judeo-Christian Leftists in their incessant effort to push the harmful influence of homosexuality on all age groups of society.

Isn’t there a single major corporation with the moral fortitude to oppose the pressure of the homosexual agenda and to uphold wholesome, traditional values despite the adverse consequences? Maybe not, but it sure would be nice to see someone — anyone — grow a spine.

The indoctrination of our children is a crucial component of the aggressive sexual-deviancy agenda to normalize and force cultural acceptance of a lifestyle that many Americans rightly oppose on moral and religious grounds. And this shameless corruption of young minds must be resisted at every point. It’s time for concerned, morally minded parents to mount a protest of their own by refusing to purchase the later versions of the game — and maybe even the current edition as well — as a way to send a strong message to Nintendo that we will not tolerate such overt displays of decadence in our children’s video games.
