Nadler Calls for Contempt Vote Against Barr, Forgetting He Called Contempt Vote Against Holder ‘Shameful’

If I had a dollar for every time a Democrat displayed their double standard of ethics, I would be retired and not writing this.

Not that many years ago, many of the same Democratic leaders voted to fund a border wall, but not today.

During Bill Clinton’s and Barack Obama’s terms in office, it was okay to separate the children from their illegal alien parents being detained by US officials, but not now.

It was okay for Obama to use executive privilege to protect then Attorney General Eric Holder, but it’s not okay for Trump to protect Barr.

When Holder was held in contempt of Congress, Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) said it was shameful, but now he is the one leading the charge to find Barr in contempt of Congress.

Fox News – Nadler once called Holder contempt vote ‘shameful,’ now leads charge against Barr – House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., led the charge Wednesday to hold Attorney General Bill Barr in contempt of Congress for not handing over documents related to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe — declaring the move necessary as the country enters a “constitutional crisis.”

But Nadler took a very different stance on contempt back in 2012, when House Republicans took the same step against then-AG Eric Holder for refusing to hand over documents related to the Fast and Furious gun-running scandal, where DOJ officials tracked thousands of guns smuggled across the border but did nothing to stop them.

“Just joined the #walkout of the House chamber to protest the shameful, politically-motivated GOP vote holding AG [Eric] Holder in contempt,” Nadler tweeted in 2012.

He joined more than 100 Democrats in walking out over the vote to hold the Obama-era DOJ leader in contempt…

The double standard of hypocrisy seems to be a requirement for all Democratic politicians.

They hold conservatives to standard much higher and legal than the one that they live and operate by.

If any Republican did a fraction of the things that Obama or Clinton did, they would be in prison by now.

If a Republican called for violence like Maxine Waters has been doing, they would have been ousted from the House, and so.
