Religious discrimination, just like many other forms of discrimination today, is a one-way street or you could say that it displays the double standard of the left.
Muslims believe it is a sin for them eat any pig (pork) product or even touch a pig. Consequently, many have filed and won lawsuits concerning Muslims given pork products or being starved because they won’t eat pork.
Consider some of the following:
1- JEWISH, MUSLIM CUSTOMERS SUE FOR BACON IN THEIR FOOD AT KFC, DENNY’S – In two lawsuits filed recently, Jewish and Muslim customers say they were served bacon in food they ordered at two metro Detroit restaurants.
The lawsuits are the latest cases in Michigan and the US involving food and faith. The restaurants say the bacon placement was not intentional.
2- NYC settles FDNY’s ‘pork’ lawsuit filed by Muslim firefighter – It cost taxpayers $224,000 to put out this fire.
The city settled a federal lawsuit filed by a Muslim firefighter who claimed he was fed pork by racist Bravest, The Post has learned.
Firefighter Raheem Hassan also settled with a supervisor at Engine 309/Ladder 159 in Flatlands, Lt. David Hughes, who agreed to fork over another $1,000.
Hassan, 31, complained that he had been bullied and harassed at the Brooklyn station, nicknamed the “Friendly Firehouse,” since the summer of 2015.
He accused FDNY colleagues of serving him pasta sauce spiked with pork and cooking his food in bacon grease — meats his religion forbids.
3- ALASKA PRISON SUED FOR GIVING MUSLIM INMATES PORK DURING RAMADAN – Inmates had alleged they were being “starved.” Muslim inmates also say they were given food containing pork during the Ramadan period. Pork consumption is forbidden for those who identify as Muslims. The ruling was a response to a lawsuit filed by Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) on the behalf of two Muslim prisoners incarcerated in the Alaskan jail.
The legal suit made the claim that officials of Anchorage Correctional Complex violated the constitutional rights of inmates. Authorities also showed discriminatory behavior by their refusal to provide Muslim inmates appropriate means and the necessary calories required during the Ramadan period. Judge Holland issued the emergency order for providing the Muslim inmates with meals that are free of pork products and which must be nutritionally sound. Ramadan began on May 16. The period will end June 15.
4- US prison ordered to stop ‘cruel punishment’ of serving pork to fasting Muslim inmates – A federal judge granted a restraining order on Thursday forcing prison guards in Alaska to stop giving Muslim inmates pork as they break their fasts during Ramadan, rights campaigners said.
These are just a few of the many lawsuits that have been filed by Muslims involving pork and bacon. In the vast majority of cases, Muslims win their lawsuits as the courts rule that the restaurant, prison or fellow firefighters violated the religious rights of the Muslims.
Is this any different than Christian being forced to accept homosexuality or other LGBT individuals? Currently, the LGBT and other leftist groups are in an uproar because Karen Pence, wife of US Vice President Mike Pence, teaches art at a Christian school in Virginia that does not accept LGBT students. The school adheres to strict biblical principles, which naturally is offensive to LGBT individuals and groups, some of which are demanding Karen Pence be forced to quit her job because of the school’s stand on homosexuality.
If Muslims are protected from eating or being in contact with pork products because of their religious beliefs, then Christians should also be protected from violating their faith by accepting LGBT students or employees and therefore, shouldn’t Karen Pence be legally able to work at the Christian school?
Aren’t the religious rights of one religion just as sacred and protected as the religious rights of another religion?
According to leftists, NO! If you are a Muslim, your religious rights are protected, but if you are a Christian, you have no religious rights.
