As yet another unfortunate sign that America is morally adrift in the rough seas of cultural relativism, a U.S. medical student is auctioning off her virginity to the highest bidder. Currently, the top offer for her shameless deflowering stands at a whopping $550,000.
According to a CBS News report:
Using the alias “Elizabeth Raine” and operating a blog entitled, “Musings of a Virgin Whore,” the 28-year-old self-proclaimed virgin said she is willing to submit to a medical examination or polygraph as proof to the winning bidder, which will be determined when bidding concludes on May 7.
The blonde “Med School Virgin” writes that she has attended “excellent private schools,” has a bachelor’s degree and is currently a student in a combined MD/PhD program at a “leading university.” The auction website “About Me” section says that she was born in the U.S. but spent much of her time growing up abroad.
Raines claims that he has never had any form of sex, seen a naked man, or ever been viewed nude herself. “There’s a bunch of really normal reasons [for still being a virgin],” she explained, “for instance being busy, not focusing on boys, I’m very ambitious.” However, Raines makes it very clear that love is definitely not part of the deal, the New York Daily News reports. This lewd exchange must remain nothing more than unadulterated greed and lust, a deadly and destructive combination.
Originally concealing her identity for fear of reprisals from her university, Raines eventually decided to reveal her face five weeks after the project went public. “I actually didn’t like the anonymity,” she told The Huffington Post. “People mistake it for shame.” Yeah, we certainly wouldn’t want anyone to experience the antiquated feelings of guilt and shame about such salacious slutty behavior. (That’s sarcasm, in case you couldn’t tell.)
On her blog, she writes that the auction is not a ploy to “earn status, money, or feed my own ego.” However, she does admit that the financial windfall will be helpful, stating that her “primary motivation remains financial, and I can’t insult you by pretending otherwise.” No surprise there — talk about selling your soul to the devil for filthy lucre!
Listed as 5’10” and 130 lbs with measurements of 34A-26-36, the blonde-haired and green-eyed beauty describes herself in the following glowing terms: “I approach people with warmth and curiosity, and I am careful not to overlook anyone. I have found the most complex and wonderful individuals are rarely the most obvious ones.”
Claiming to be “more educated about prostitution, virginity and slut-shaming,” Raines provides those who still adhere to “passé” moral qualms with this disquieting assurance: “Believe it or not, I am not without a social conscience and have given considerable thought to the implications of virginity, virginity auctions, and my own actions. As you probably know, in almost every society a high value is placed on a woman’s virginity. Unfortunately, far too often, this value is wielded as a tool of female suppression, usually by chaining virginity to morality, in place of more important virtues such as intelligence, kindness, courage and good humor.” Talk about turning logic and morality on its head! If only she realized the priceless gift of virginity that a woman offers to her husband as the consummate and consummating expression of their love. But sadly, Raines is your typical product of our increasingly perverse American culture and the Leftist academic way of thinking. The jettisoning of wholesome traditional values has lead to a catastrophic moral free fall in our country, leaving heads spinning and most wondering how much worse things can actually get — I shudder to think.
Raines sadly says that she has no “moral objection” to the auction and that she operates according to her own moral code “founded on a world of education and human emotion.” She also writes on her blog that her virginity “has never been anything less than a source of personal freedom and power, even prior to placing it up for auction.” Furthermore, as part of her amoral reasoning process, Raines appeals to that not-so-conscientious voice of virtue George Carlin for insight on prostitution when she asks, “Why should it be illegal to sell something that is perfectly legal to give away?”
According to her bidding rules, a non-refundable $100 fee is required for all bidders through a PayPal account. The highest bidder is to wire-transfer the amount into a trust fund designated by “the Virgin” within 24 hours after their date, “provided that the Successful Bidder and the Virgin have had Sexual Intercourse,” reads the website. Since Nevada is currently the only state in that permits legalized prostitution, the 12-hour illicit liaison will reportedly take place in Australia. So far, Raines has received offers from Serbia, Japan, Australia, Great Britain and the U.S.
Raines has promised to donate 35 percent of the auction proceeds to a charity “that brings education to women in developing countries.” But based upon what she considers to be an “enlightened” education, that pledge certainly shouldn’t make anyone feel much better. Moreover, she makes sure to inform us that her contribution should not be considered as a gesture of guilt, but rather as an acknowledgement of the fact that she doesn’t need all of the money. Wow, what do ya know, a prostitute with “principles.”
Please remember to pray for her and all of our nation’s millennials who are, to some extent, the unwitting victims of our culture’s rampant and rising philosophies of moral relativism and sexual confusion. We really are engaged in a spiritual battle for the hearts and minds of America’s youth.
