Faith and Freedom with Liberty Counsel’s Mat Staver and Holly Meade, and BarbWire’s Matt Barber… An 11-minute weekday radio program discussing hot topics in the area of religious liberty, the sanctity of human life and the family.
Dr. Paul McHugh, the Distinguished Service Professor of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University and former psychiatrist–in-chief for Johns Hopkins Hospital, has studied sexuality for 40 years, said it is a scientific fact that “there is no gay gene.”
Mat Staver: Dr.McHugh says, Matt, that “Environment is very important,” in his book, The Mind Has Mountains: Reflections on Society and Psychiatry. He also explained that the permissive sexual culture in the United States today has confused “desire” with “love,” and that homosexuality is a false or “erroneous desire.”
Now, there’s other studies besides Dr. McHugh’s that have also come to the same conclusion — that there is no such thing as a gay gene.
Matt Barber: Multiple studies. In fact, even the radical leftists, leftist APA (American Psychiatric Association) who have really destroyed their credibility with political activity. Even they will not go so far as to say that people are born “gay.” they point out that clearly biology plays a huge, if not predominant factor. And McHugh says here, “No, it is the factor…”
