Media Created Mayhem

America’s domestic enemies forgot an important medical process that may spell their doom.  Arsenic is a heavy metal poison that has little effect on a healthy human body in small doses.  Large doses induce almost immediate drastic results.  Over long periods of time however, small amounts of arsenic cause increasingly severe symptoms that can be difficult to attribute to poisoning.  So, it is with a culture.

Had the Obama administration not been so strident in its corruption and promotion of wickedness, Americans might not have become so violently revolted by the outrageous hypocrisy of Democrats and the media.  And had the fake news media not been so blatantly scurrilous in their double-standard of reporting, the people might have accepted more of their distortions, deceptions and outright lies.  But hindsight is often clearer than foresight.

News networks did their best to hide every hint of genuine corruption by the Obama White House and there was plenty to choose from.  The illegal Fast and Furious operation that claimed the life of border agent, Brian Terry, NSA spying, the IRS scandal and the administration’s failure to defend the U.S. embassy in Benghazi and subsequent cover-up were only the biggest cases of the first Obama term.  Corruption creep set the stage for the next four years.

The administration’s refusal to enforce immigration laws, the malicious prosecution of Virginia Governor, Bob McDonnell on bogus corruption charges, and numerous cases of executive overreach were only reported after they had been exposed by other sources.  Even then, media reports distorted the facts and minimized the impacts.  As many as 29 different scandals have been attributed to the Obama administration.  Despite massive evidence to the contrary, former NBC News anchor Tom Brokaw declared the Obama presidency “scandal free.”

In contrast, the first two years of President Trump’s administration has been riddled with media-inspired “controversies” and concocted fake news scandals the sort that went unnoticed just three years ago.  Beginning with the so-called “Women’s March” against claims of misogynist hysteria, we then progressed to the president’s Travel ban challenged by power-grabbing activist judges, and the phony Russian election interference probe.

FBI Director James Comey was fired by President Trump after it was learned that he leaked classified information to the media and violated Department of Justice policies in the Hillary Clinton email investigation.  Democrats cried “foul” and the media served as their public advocates.  The cases fell flat.

Claims by Democrats and the media that illegal alien “refugees” were being abused and confined by President Trump’s policies were quickly debunked.  The #Me Too movement—which ironically began after notable Democrat supporters and celebrated NBC and CBS News anchors were fired or charged with numerous counts of rape and sexual assault—was a clear effort to smear President Trump.  It failed miserably.

Next, was the Stormy Daniels caper.  Daniels was exposed as an opportunistic  fraud.  After that, the maliciously mendacious Democrat smear of President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, based solely upon perjured testimony imploded.  Currently, the organized Honduran invasion is being reported as a spontaneous exodus of asylum-seeking refugees.  It’s an obvious politically-orchestrated sham.  Once again, a left-wing activist federal court judge is challenging President Trump’s constitutional authority to protect the border.

It’s amazing that these same leftist judges, who stood in silent repose as Obama violated his oath of office, the U.S. Constitution and the public trust are now bent on impeding President Trump’s legitimate exercise of power to defend the United States from lawless mobs.  These too, will fail to dampen support for President Trump because they are undeniable media-invented controversies.

The networks efforts to invent new and more bizarre controversies shows a level of hysteria and desperation that would be unfitting of honorable and honest news agencies.  But then, the mainstream networks have not been either for many decades.

About ten years ago, ABC, NBC, CBS and PBS worked to portray former president George W, Bush as a racist who was unconcerned about the suffering of poor blacks left homeless in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.  Bush refused to defend himself from the false and malignant charges when he could have revealed that his warnings to Democrat leaders had gone unheeded.

President Trump however, is not George W. Bush, and he has made a determined effort to point out the media’s bias, lies and double-standards at every turn.  It’s working.  Now that the American people have been alerted to the schemes of Democrat hacks in the feloniously-named “news networks,” they are becoming immune to the deception.  As radio host Simon Conway recently stated, “If you’re looking for a bigot, look to the left.”

Democrats in Congress and the media are losing badly to this president.  Their inane policies have failed spectacularly and yet, they cannot relent.  A rotting strategy of constant conflict, inciting division and creating imaginary controversy is their only legal recruitment tool.

Perhaps, we are witnessing the last putrid gasps of the diabolical ideological monster we know as liberalism.  If so, we can be assured that great and wonderful times lie just ahead.
