Tomorrow I will be in federal court on behalf of Chief Justice Roy Moore, of the Alabama Supreme Court. We are challenging in the federal court this automatic removal provision with regards to removing judges that have a complaint filed against them.

The following week, on August the 8th, I’ll be in the state court.

Mat Staver: Matt, tomorrow is a big day, August the 4th. And then following that, August the 8th, another big day. Tomorrow I’ll be in the federal court where we challenge this provision that Alabama has. It’s very unique, it’s the only place in the country where if a judge, no matter the level of judge, and no matter how bogus the charge, is charged by this judicial inquiry committee or commission, they are automatically removed from their office without even being able to defend themselves. And their defense could last for a year, two years…who knows how long? But they’re removed from office during the pendency. So we are challenging that under the federal Constitution…
