In an Irish study, only one in three women who became pregnant as a result of rape chose to abort their child. The majority, 54%, chose to keep their baby.

The rest includes miscarriages, adoption, and 1% in foster homes.

While polls show that the majority of Ireland wants abortion legal in the cases of rape and incest, it seems that the victims themselves have a different view: one that values the life of their child and does not punish their child for the illegal actions of the father.
