Liberty Counsel has a big win on behalf of an Alabama Supreme Court Justice in a free speech case which we filed on his behalf. We’re going to be talking about it on Faith and Freedom.

I’m Mat Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel, joining me is Matt Barber, founder of, and Holly Meade, the Director of Communications for Liberty Counsel.

Mat Staver: Well, we received a great decision from an Alabama federal court in favor of out client, Alabama Associate Supreme Court Justice Tom Parker. We ultimately got the injunction that we wanted, a preliminary order that prohibits the enforcement of certain provisions that are speech restrictions in the Alabama State Judicial Canon.

This particular restriction, Matt, actually required, applied to all judges, including Justice Tom Parker, every judge in Alabama, in which it said that you could not speak publicly on any case pending anywhere in the United States.

Matt Barber: Yea. So this statute, says basically, you have a First Amendment right to free speech…oh…unless you’re a judge…
