Rahm Emanuel was Barack Obama’s White House Chief of Staff at the beginning of his first term, but resigned in October 2010.
After his White House career, Emanuel ran for mayor of Chicago and won, a position he has held since May 2011.
Although gone from the Obama administration, Emanuel still acts like a true Obamanite leftist.
He not only supports many of Obama’s policies, but he runs Chicago with many of the same policies and socialist agenda exhibited by Obama.
Yet, Emanuel just stated that the Democratic Party’s turn to the far left could be significant enough to help Donald Trump get re-elected in 2020.
The Democrats are in a leftward lurch that could ruin their chances of retaking the White House.
It was Rahm, as chairman of the Democratic campaign committee, who engineered the party’s takeover of the House in 2006 — and is known for his hardball brand of politics, with all the subtlety of his frequent F-bombs.
If Mayor Emanuel believes the Democrats are in danger of self-destructing, as he argues in a piece for the Atlantic, his party might want to pay attention.
I’ve been arguing that the Democrats, who regained control of the House in November mainly on the strength of more moderate candidates, are increasingly being defined by their most extreme members…
It’s true that with the latest class of freshmen Democrats, the party has taken a sharp turn to the extreme far left.
The charge to the far left is being led by freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and seasoned Sen. Bernie Sanders.
Several Democrats who have announced their candidacy for the White House in 2020 have also embraced more far left policies.
Furthermore, the sewagestream media has joined in with the far-leftist Democrats.
Hopefully, Emanuel is right for once in his political career and the turn to the far left will be a wake-up call to millions of American voters who will vote to re-elect Trump in 2020.
