Liberty Counsel filed an amicus brief with the United States Supreme Court in the case of the Masterpiece Cake Shop versus the Colorado Civil Right Commission. This is before the U.S. Supreme Court and it will address the collision between the First Amendment right to freedom of speech and free exercise of religion versus LGBT rights under the Colorado law. We’re going to be talking it on Faith and Freedom.
Mat Staver: Matt, this is a case of first impression if you will, never before at the U.S. Supreme court showing this kind of collision between free exercise of religion, free speech, and LGBT rights and/or agenda in Colorado.
The law has sexual orientation and gender identity. Jack Phillips, in 2016, the owner of Masterpiece Cake Shop, who is represented by ADF, has now taken the case all the way to the Supreme Court.
