Thursday during the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings with Christiane Blasey Ford and Brett Kavanaugh, Democrats continued to call for an FBI investigation into the allegations made against Kavanaugh.
Several Republican Senators reminded Democrats that Feinstein had the accusation in her possession for the past two months and could have called for an FBI investigation then or any time since, but the didn’t.
Kavanaugh’s opening statement pointed out that some of the Democrats on the committee had previously said they would stop at nothing to prevent his confirmation and that this whole mess was just a character assassination of him and an intentional delay to of his confirmation.
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) blasted the Democrats and called their delay tactics a sham and crap.
On Friday, the Senate judiciary Committee went forward with the confirmation of Kavanaugh, but as expected, Democrats acted like pouting kids that didn’t get their way even though it was all due to the blindness of their failure to act when they had the chance.
(Huffington Post) – The Senate Judiciary Committee on Friday voted to advance the Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, one day after testimony from Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford, who has accused him of sexually assaulting her when they were in high school.
The full Senate could vote as soon as Saturday to proceed with Kavanaugh’s nomination, and a final vote may come next week. It was unclear, however, whether that timeline would hold. Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) sought a one-week delay in the full Senate’s vote for an FBI investigation into sexual assault claims that have been made against Kavanaugh. Senate Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) determines the vote schedule.
Flake’s demand came after a dramatic series of events, culminating in talks between Flake and Democrats in a room adjacent to the committee hearing room, creating much confusion and speculation ahead of the committee’s scheduled 1:30 p.m. vote.
In the end, Flake voted with other Republicans in the 11-10 party-line vote to advance Kavanaugh’s nomination without any assurances that the FBI investigation would happen…
Democrats across the nation are convicting Kavanaugh despite the fact that Ford provided NO evidence to prove her attacker was Kavanaugh.
Kavanaugh did provide sufficient evidence to prove his innocence, including a statement from Ford’s long-time friend.
When the committee voted to move Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the floor of the Senate, Democrats all voted against him, still protesting that they want an FBI investigation.
There motive to delay the confirmation is evident since they had 2 months to call for an FBI investigation but didn’t until the very last minute, proving they care nothing about justice.
