(1 min Audio Report – Freedom’s Call)
A new employee agreed to a code of conduct for a Massachusetts school which followed the Catholic religion. Later he made public that he was in a same-sex relationship and the school dismissed him for abandoning the code of conduct.
He sued in the Massachusetts courts, ignored the First Amendment and specific statutes protecting religious schools and instead granted a ruling of discrimination towards the former employee.
In addition, his attorneys are pushing for money from the academy to punish its requirement of employees adhering to the faith in action of the religion. The laws of our country clearly allow freedom of religion and virtuous education to continue these religious views.
