John Dowd is a name that many may not be familiar with.
Dowd is a former Marine Corps JAG, former DOJ attorney, and a private sector attorney used by Major League Baseball.
From June 2017 to March 2018, Dowd was a legal adviser to President Donald Trump.
Dowd recently spoke out about the Mueller investigation into Russian collusion and any connection to Trump or his campaign.
Dowd said that the Mueller investigation was a ‘terrible waste of time’ and that he does not believe Mueller and his team will find any evidence tying Trump to Russian collusion.
Fox News – Ex-Trump attorney John Dowd slams ‘waste of time’ Mueller probe as ‘one of the greatest frauds’ in US history – Veteran criminal defense attorney John Dowd has savaged Robert Mueller’s Russia probe as a “terrible waste of time” and questioned whether a report will ever be produced.
Dowd, who served as a member of President Donald Trump’s legal team from June 2017 until March 2018, made the explosive comments during an interview with ABC News.
“I will be shocked, if anything regarding the president is made public, other than, ‘we’re done’,” the 77-year-old said.
“I know exactly what he has. I know exactly what every witness said, what every document said. I know exactly what he asked. And I know what the conclusion or the result is.”
When pressed on what he believes the conclusion of the probe will be, Dowd unleashed a blistering attack.
“It’s been a terrible waste of time… This is one of the greatest frauds this country’s ever seen,” he said. “I’m just shocked that Bob Mueller didn’t call it that way and say, ‘I’m being used.’ I would’ve done that…
Everyone associated with Trump and many Republicans all say that the Mueller probe has found nothing to incriminate Trump and that the continuation of the investigation is a waste of time and money.
Think about it – Mueller has been quick to indict others for anything he found, mostly for crimes not associated with any election interference or Russian collusion.
It’s been so obvious by the stacked deck of attorneys that Mueller hired that he is against Trump, which means that he would be quick to make known any incriminating evidence he found against Trump.
But, since Mueller has not indicted or even suggested that he has evidence against Trump after nearly 21 months of intense investigation, that Mueller has nothing on Trump and therefore, Dowd is right in that it has been a terrible waste of time.
