“A reminder to all the politicians out there, you’re perfectly entitled to your own opinions… NOT your own facts.” — Jake Tapper in responding to Hillary Clinton’s bogus claims that she was doing nothing out of the ordinary by using a private email server while working as Secretary of State.
I’m not sure that Hillary Clinton expected the mainstream liberal media to be “fact-checking” the things she’s been saying throughout the campaign, but we’re sure glad somebody (finally) did. We’re also glad that the someone doing the “fact-checking” was CNN’s Jake Tapper, possibly the most fair-minded and consistently honest journalist working in the media today.
Tapper joined with Factcheck.org recently to look into Hillary Clinton’s ridiculous claims that everything she did with her emails while Secretary of State was completely acceptable procedure in the Obama administration.
What Tapper found was that Hillary Clinton had made some pretty unbelievable claims — so unbelievable, in fact, that they were totally unsupported by evidence and were in complete contradiction of the facts!
Is that true? Was Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server for official business while she was Secretary of State “absolutely permitted?”
No. That’s not true. She says that because she permitted herself and there was no one absolutely prohibiting her.
The simple fact is that on its face it has become clear that Hillary Clinton did indeed break federal law by mishandling classified government intelligence. It happened over and over again, then Mrs. Clinton lied, obfuscated, double-talked in an effort to avoid any culpability for the crimes that she was responsible for. Still, even today, Hillary Clinton continues to spin, juke, jive, and dissemble in her efforts to distract the media (and the voters) from her many immoral and unlawful activities.
Don’t let her get away with it.
