Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) is one of several Democratic senators who accepted campaign donations from Sen. Tom Carper’s First State PAC.
Carper has admitted to hitting his wife, which according to the standards of Democrats like Hirono and others, makes Carper a wife abuser.
Other Democrats who accepted money from Carper include Dianne Feinstein.
Hirono, blasted Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) for her comments in questioning the accuracy of the testimony given by Prof. Christine Blasey Ford.
Obviously, it’s okay for a Democrat to admit to hitting his wife, but it’s not acceptable for a conservative to question the testimony of a completely unsubstantiated accusation of sexual misconduct.
(Huffington Post) – Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) said Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) insulted Christine Blasey Ford by suggesting the psychology professor is confused about her assault.
“She says that Dr. Ford thinks that she was assaulted, which is even more insulting than saying that she gave a very credible account,” Hirono told CNN on Sunday of her GOP colleague, who helped pave the way for Kavanaugh’s confirmation by a 50-48 Senate vote on Saturday.
“To say that she thinks that Dr. Ford thinks that she was assaulted, what is that? Is she mistaken?” Hirono said, adding that “anybody watching” Ford’s testimony would conclude she was being truthful about her story.
When asked about Ford’s testimony in a Sunday interview on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Collins said she is “convinced that Dr. Ford believes what she told us and that she was the victim, a survivor of sexual assault.” …
I wrote about my being sexually assaulted years ago and that I also do not believe the claim of Ford that it was Kavanaugh who tried to rape her.
A few others have responded to my post saying that they are also victims of a asexual assault and that they also doubt the accuracy of Ford’s accusation.
Most victims, if they have a memory lapse, it’s the actual trauma but not the details before or after.
In Ford’s case, the only thing she remembered was the traumatic claim, but nothing else, causing many to question her.
When it comes to Sen. Hirono, she needs to look in the mirror and take the log out of her own eye before she tries to take the speck out of the eyes of others – or lecture them on ethics when she has her own ethics problem.
