Rep. James Clyburn is a career politician who has been a Democratic Representative from South Carolina since 1993 (26 years).
Clyburn is considered to one of the highest-ranking Democrats in the House, behind House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and holding the position as House Majority Whip.
Like so many other career politicians, Clyburn is proving that with longevity in politics comes loss of intelligence, wisdom, common sense and values.
The black congressman defended Ilhan Omar’s anti-Semitism by saying that Omar’s experience exceeds that than those who had family members survive the Holocaust and Japanese internment camps.
Fox News – Ilhan Omar’s experience ‘more personal’ than Jews whose parents survived the Holocaust: Dem congressman – Congressman James Clyburn, D-S.C., defended freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Wednesday by saying her experience was “more personal” than Jews whose parents survived the Holocaust.
Clyburn argued Omar’s experience “is much more empirical — and powerful — than that of people who are generations removed from the Holocaust, Japanese internment camps during WWII and the other violent episodes that have marked history,” according to a report in The Hill.
“I’m serious about that. There are people who tell me, ‘Well, my parents are Holocaust survivors.’ ‘My parents did this.’ It’s more personal with her,” Clyburn said
“I’ve talked to her, and I can tell you she is living through a lot of pain.”
Omar has been condemned by members of both parties for alleged anti-Semitic comments during her time in Congress while addressing Israel…
Clyburn’s statement is as insensitive and offensive as was the anti-Semitic statements made by Omar.
It also shows how so many radical Democrats are abandoning all sense of decency and moral virtue.
Clyburn should also face some kind of discipline and consequence for his offensive statement, just as Omar does for hers.
