Dangerous Ignorance

Barb Wire

It’s been said, “Ignorance is bliss” and “What you don’t know won’t hurt you,” but in today’s America, the foolishness of these phrases is readily apparent. The truth is that what you don’t know can kill. What’s more, the rampant ignorance of others places us in danger of personal violence and national ruin.

Contrary to reports by the media and the Obama administration, North Carolina does not have, and did not pass a “bathroom bill.” Legislators in North Carolina passed H.B. 2 in response to the reckless political over-reach by Charlotte’s City Council that would have added transvestites and transsexuals to the classes of people entitled by law to receive special non-discrimination treatment. If Charlotte’s power-grab had been permitted to stand, it would have opened women’s public restrooms, locker rooms and showers to intrusion by men. The women and daughters in the city of Charlotte would have been placed in great and unnecessary danger for appeasement of the LGBTQ Beast.

Like most other states, North Carolina does not permit local governments to create their own individual and specious standards of what constitutes discrimination. Tragically, the controversy in North Carolina has been grossly and falsely mischaracterized. North Carolina legislators have prudently blocked future attempts by reprobate local leaders who would endanger women and children by the type of insanity proposed by the Charlotte City Council.

This week, Obama Attorney General Loretta Lynch added to the deceptive misinformation campaign of the left by labeling North Carolina’s actions, “The new Jim Crow.” Her remarks, comparing Jim Crow laws to sensible defense of women and children demonstrate either a woeful ignorance of the facts or a callous disregard for the safety and security of America’s girls and women. Either way, she has proven herself to be patently unsuitable for the office of Attorney General. But she didn’t stop there.

Trending: Itching Ears that Hate the Truth

In a statement of astounding ignorance, Attorney General Lynch threatened to file a lawsuit against North Carolina, knowing full well that she has no legal ground for such an action. North Carolina is simply following discrimination policy set by the federal government and preventing local governments from exceeding them.  Her threats are nothing more than bullying; abusing the power of her office in an effort to impose the Obama administration’s radical agenda.

Lynch has still not filed charges against Hillary Clinton for her many known violations of U.S. espionage laws, and most likely won’t, and yet she wants to begin a federal government crusade against states that limit access to women’s restrooms and locker rooms to women.  Left-wing political stupidity of this magnitude has no precedent in American history.  But suggesting that North Carolina’s actions amount to discrimination equivalent to that suffered by those with an immutable characteristic is absurd and insulting to any thinking person.

Democrat leaders have a long history of calling things what they are not, in an effort to deceive many into believing that they are.  Sadly, the dastardly scheme is often successful.  Truth, they call hate; righteousness they label oppression; and now, legislation that protects women and children is being slandered as discrimination.

Expect more of this in the presidential contest.  Already, Donald Trump’s proposal to slow or temporarily cease the immigration of Muslims pending investigations to determine if Syrian “refugees” are members of ISIS, has been condemned by Democrat candidates as bigotry and racism.  His plan to build a wall at the Mexican border is likewise misjudged as bigotry, and the ignorant, the uninformed, and the lawless pile on.

Most of us are aware of less than one per cent of the 2300 executive orders issued by the fraudulent Obama White House. That is by design. The leftist media is well aware that many people would be outraged by the abhorrent abuses of this administration, so they refuse to report on them. But never fear, that will all change with the next Republican president. Every action the next Republican president makes will be twisted and shaped in an attempt to make it appear worse than real abuses of the last two Democrat presidents.

In his new book, The Liberal Mind, psychiatrist Dr. Lyle Rossiter, explains what many conservatives have learned experientially that liberal Democrats are mentally-ill by choice. They are irrational, illogical and willfully ignorant.  They have no integrity, because they hold fast to no moral standards, nor can they.  Liberals are zealously self-righteous because they have no genuine righteousness. They have no foundation from which to claim that anything is right or wrong. For this reason, they promote political correctness as a counterfeit form of virtue. In reality, self-righteous political correctness is devoid of virtue.

For many years, Americans have complied with the left’s tyranny of thought and speech, but that is rapidly changing. No longer can liberals impose their self-righteousness and hypocrisy with the same effect. Many people are waking up to the emptiness, misery and purposeless existence that the liberal worldview imposes upon its victims. However, it may not occur swiftly enough to prevent the collapse of the nation.

Some will say, “Truth without compassion is brutality,” but it’s a deadly lie that silences the timid.  It implies that how someone feels about a fact changes its character.  Truth without compassion is still truth and therefore, always compassionate and constructive.  After all, no one risks offending someone he or she does not care about.

Many people will choose to believe a long-held lie that is comfortable, rather than forfeit it and accept a truth that is unsettling.  But those of us who know the truth about political and spiritual matters have been silent too long.  Our nation is dying for lack of truth.  It’s incumbent upon each of us to confront every lie, tear down every stronghold, and pray that God will allow the truth to be buried no longer.  Perhaps then, He will heal our land.
