This frees ministers and religious groups from being forced to participate in a marriage ceremony that conflicts with their religious views.

While people in churches already have these rights, this bill provides a clear reminder. It’s a positive step toward strengthening our constitutional rights.

And the reason for the bill coming before the legislature at this time is that a few towns across Ohio have recently changed their non-discrimination policies.

These increasing threats on religious liberty show the importance of our Constitution, and continuing to protect clergy, churches, and religious freedom, especially in the area of marriage.
