Barr Refutes Mueller Claim about Not Having Option to Charge Trump with Crime

Earlier this week, Special Counsel Robert Mueller made his first public statement since he was first appointed to investigate Russian election interference and allegations of collusion between Donald Trump, the Trump campaign and Russia.

Mueller re-ignited the fires of impeachment when he stated that he was given no option to charge the president with a crime.

Mueller’s statement sent Trump-hating Democrats and RINOs into their impeachment feeding frenzy.

Attorney General William Barr countered Mueller’s statement, saying that Mueller did have the option to charge Trump with obstruction of justice if he wanted to.

Washington Examiner – William Barr: Robert Mueller ‘could’ve reached a decision’ on obstruction – Attorney General William Barr said he believes special counsel Robert Mueller could have made a decision about whether President Trump obstructed justice as part of his 22-month-long investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

One day after Mueller delivered a public statement on his findings, Barr contradicted the reasoning the special counsel gave about why he did not make a determination on obstruction.

“I personally felt he could’ve reached a decision,” Barr said during an interview with CBS on Thursday. Barr said Mueller “had his reasons for not doing it” but declined to explain. “I’m not going to, you know, argue about those reasons,” he said.

Mueller, both in his report and in his public statement, contended that he “did not make a determination as to whether the President did commit a crime” due to a Justice Department Office of Legal Counsel opinion that precludes a sitting president from being charged with a crime…

So, who do you believe – Mueller or Barr?

I don’t believe or trust Mueller because in his investigation, he made it well known that he was after Trump from the very beginning.

Consider the fact that of the first 16 attorneys Mueller hired to work on the investigation, none had ever donated to the campaign of a Republican, but at least half had donated to Democrats, including the campaign of Hillary Clinton.

He also made it obvious that he was going after everyone associated with Trump and those who were indicted of crimes, those crimes had nothing to do with the real purpose of Mueller’s tasked investigation.

Mueller was also part of the highly questionable and somewhat illegal sale of 20% of America’s uranium supply to our enemy – Russia.

Mueller also has been accused of sending 4 innocent people to prison for murder so he could protect his then FBI informant Whitey Bulger.
