If something can be said to be ‘the law,’ it’s spoken of as if it’s automatically right and exempt from any disagreement. The problem with this is that there is such a thing as an unjust law.
It’s a very common theme in music, movies and literature (not to mention real life): mankind is constantly searching or waiting for ‘the answer,’ ‘the meaning of life,’ or whatever other name he may give it.
The thing that someone thinks makes them “who they are” is an impostor – a cruel, thieving impostor. It commits ‘identity theft’ against them.
These are the kinds of claims our opponents make: We want to “use our religion to control people.” We want to “force everyone to live by our rules.”
If you were to ask anyone who knows me if I might be ‘bigoted’ or ‘hateful,’ they’d probably look at you like you had two heads. Those words simply don’t line up with anything about my character.
The author took issue with the phrase ‘everyone’s entitled to their opinion’ because it implies that all opinions are equally valid, which they clearly are not.
There is a definite design for sexuality, given to us by our Creator. To deny this is to assume that there is no design for sexuality at all.
While driving recently I passed by a billboard, and I’m sure it was no coincidence that the billboard was placed just down the road from the local ‘gay’ resort.
It is not our goal as Christians to avoid being hated. In fact, Christ’s words in the Bible make it clear that our being hated is quite inevitable.
The ‘Me Too” campaign on Facebook may be well-meaning, but it fails to address the root cause of the sexual harassment problem.
The thinking has not been done for you; you are responsible for doing your own thinking. And when you truly do that, you’re going to reach vastly different conclusions.
We’re told that it’s ‘normal’ for someone of a particular physical gender to actually be a member of the other gender, based on how they mentally perceive themselves.
I’ve noticed an interesting pattern in certain mainstream news stories. A certain, very misleading label gets attached where it doesn’t belong: ‘…another case of right-wing violence…’
