Faith and Freedom with Liberty Counsel’s Mat Staver and BarbWire’s Matt Barber… An 11-minute weekday radio program discussing hot topics in the area of religious liberty, the sanctity of human life and the family.
On behalf of all of us at Liberty Counsel, we want to wish you a very Happy New Year. And certainly this new year will bring a lot of challenges. It will be changing of the guard, if you will, in the white House. Which is good news, that we can move beyond these eight years of Barack Obama and move into something else. And hopefully it is something good.
Mat Staver: Matt, as we begin this new year, certainly there are a lot of challenges ahead of us, and there’s certainly going to be great resistance in all these areas — religious freedom, the sanctity of human life, the family. There’s lots of things coming up at the Supreme Court that has already gone off the rails on the marriage issue.

By the way, that is certainly not over by any means, that battle. There’s lots of people who are calling for resistance to the marriage opinion because it was lawless and is lawless, and doesn’t represent the rule of law.
We also have other issues coming up with regard to Obamacare — whether or not non-profit organizations like Christian ministries will be forced to participate in genocide through the provision of the abortifacient (abortion inducing drugs). Many other aspects of challenges to religious freedom, life and family are coming toward us. Including issues with regards to our national security,Islam, and the jihadism that is spreading around the world. And Israel, of course it’s in the crosshairs of so many people that hate Israel and the Jewish people and do not want it to exist…
Matt Barber: Yea Mat, I’m remembering back to when President Barack Obama was running for president in his first term. He made a comment, he said, “Oh the culture wars are so 90’s!” Kind of mocking Christians and conservatives who are trying to maintain our nation’s founding and the principles and the values upon which our nation was founded. And regrettably, this president in eight years has done more damage to this nation than I think any of us could have imagined…
