Federal Government Steps Up to Defend Religious Freedom

In an historic move, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced that it has established a Conscience and Religious Freedom Division within the office of Civil Rights to specialize in enforcement of and compliance with laws that protect conscience and the free exercise of religion, that prohibit coercion and discrimination.

Mat Staver: Matt, this is a 180° turn around from the horrible eight years of the Obama administration. In 2011 the Obama administration’s HHS Department ultimately repealed any attempt to have regulations that would protect the rights of conscience. Of course with the Obamacare law, that was exactly the opposite. It trampled on the rights of conscience and required non-profit, religious, Christian ministries to provide abortion, drugs and devices and contraception contrary to their sincerely held religious beliefs…
