Pastor Decries the Lack of Compassion and Empathy for the Lost
By Will Maule
Pastor Shane Idleman is frustrated. He is fed up with the lack of compassion showed by the American Church today. “God help us we’ve lost compassion,” Idleman declares. “When was the last time you cried for somebody close to you who doesn’t know Christ? We’ll cry when things don’t go our way. You should have seen the tears when the market crashed in 2009.
“Jesus would never weep over a financial system crashing, but he would weep over a city rejecting Him. You cannot manufacture this. You have to pray “God, break my heart.”
Shane believes it is time for Christians to get on their knees, desperate for the Kingdom of God to advance in this broken nation.
“I’m about to pray and fast that God would bring Planned Parenthood to nothing. You can pull poor children from the womb and sell their body parts? And we live in a nation where that is OK?”
“I’ve had enough. We’re gonna pray that God would bring the judgement hand of God against that wickedness. Because if nations sins against in persistent unfaithfulness, I will judge that nation, God told the prophets.”
“Where’s the heart of compassion! God’s people! You should weep over these things!”
