Will Conservative Evangelicals Support Donald Trump in November?


Throughout much of the GOP primary the most conservative voters have sided with Ted Cruz. This didn’t help as a large plurality of other self-described conservatives chose to side with Donald Trump. However, Cruz’s ability to command near 50% of the “very conservative” vote begs the question of how will these voters react now.

Conservative evangelical leader and president of the Family Research Council, Tony Perkins, told the Fox Business Network that it was no sure thing that conservatives would support Donald Trump’s campaign in November.

Evangelicals serve as a moral conscience to the GOP & Government, meaning we won’t necessarily fall in line with the nominee.
