Every Abortion Could Be an Adoption

Faith and Freedom with Liberty Counsel’s Mat Staver and Holly Meade, and BarbWire’s Matt Barber… An 11-minute weekday radio program discussing hot topics in the area of religious liberty, the sanctity of human life and the family.

For every woman seeking to abort her child, there are men and women around the country who are ready to adopt that precious child.

Mat Staver: There are so many opportunities for adoption around the country, men and women who are ready, willing, and able to adopt children. Either because they can’t have children, or because they want to adopt a child and give that child a good and welcome home. There is no reason, therefore, for abortion because there’s certainly a lot of services that will provide free medical care, free housing, free expenses paid through that pregnancy, and men and women who are ready to adopt.

Matt, you’ve encountered a situation like this with a girl by the name of Queline — short for Jaqueline. and you have given some information to this young girl and the situation is still ongoing. Tell us about it.

Matt Barber: Well, in a recent column I wrote titled, “I Will Raise Your Baby, Queline – Let Her Live,” and I explained that I was thumbing through Twitter and a tweet caught me eye. A young woman named Queline wrote, “I will terminate a pregnancy soon. These things aren’t fun or easy.” And I was caught off guard by that. I’d never seen anyone admitting they were about to kill their child on Twitter so I responded to her and I said, “Please don’t kill your baby. It won’t provide freedom. Don’t become the mother of a dead baby.”
