A win for liberty.

She went to jail rather than violate her religious beliefs, and now Kentucky Clerk Kim Davis can do her job without being forced to violate her faith.

Gov. Matt Bevin has signed into law a bill that removes the requirement that county clerks must sign marriage licenses. Governor Bevin stated…[Clerks] are now able to fully follow the law without being forced to compromise their religious liberty.”

Mat Staver, of Liberty Counsel, celebrated the victory stating: “The First Amendment guarantees Kim and every American the free exercise of religion, even when they are working for the government… County clerks should not be forced to license something that is prohibited by their religious convictions.”

Thank you Kim Davis, Matt Staver, and Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin.
