Not Again. Muslim Attack on Easter Festival Kills at Least 65, Wounds Hundreds More!
The proof that conservatives are right about the war on terror and the dangers we face from Islam is evident every new day. It seems that I am now almost continually at work writing about the latest example of Muslim violence found somewhere around the world. Over the weekend it was about the murder of a nuclear power plant guard, before that it was a bombing at a soccer game, before that the attack on Brussels… it’s become one constant, long train of disgusting abuse.
The latest example came on Easter Sunday when a cowardly Muslim terrorist murdered at least 65 innocent men, women, and children and wounded hundreds more by exploding a bomb that had been strapped to his murderous evil body.
The explosion happened near a public park in Pakistan where hundreds of members of Lahore’s Christian community had gathered to celebrate Easter.
Witnesses said they saw body parts strewn across the parking lot once the dust had settled after the blast.
“When the blast occurred, the flames were so high they reached above the trees and I saw bodies flying in the air,” said Hasan Imran, 30, a resident who had gone to Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park for a walk.
Officials said 65 people were killed and about 300 wounded. Police Superintendant Mustansar Feroz said most of the casualities were women and children.
The Taliban faction Jamaat-ul-Ahrar claimed responsibility for the attack.
“The target was Christians,” a spokesman for the faction, Ehsanullah Ehsan, said. “We want to send this message to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that we have entered Lahore.”
“He can do what he wants but he won’t be able to stop us. Our suicide bombers will continue these attacks.”
The news coverage from the event horribly showed women and children standing in shocked fear, amazement, and terror. It showed a scene of abject horror and the attack should prove (yet again) that the one thing Islam is not, is a religion of peace.
