Florida Cities Reject and Delay LGBT Ordinances

(1 min Audio Report – Freedom’s Call)

A Palm Bay city council meeting continued past six hours before voting to reject a bill that would severely harmed churches, schools, and religious individuals by limiting or eliminating religious freedom exemption for conflict with those publicly participating in the LGBT conduct.

About 1,000 people attended from the community and more than 80 speakers led the council to reject the measure 4-1.

Meanwhile, Jacksonville, Florida, is having a series of six meetings to get community feedback on a similar LGBT ordinance, though the mayor has already concluded that the proposal is not necessary.

Liberty Counsel has been active in both communities providing legal analysis and documentation regarding the significant risk of such ordinances.
