Commanded to End It
(1 min Audio Report – Faith2Action)
While I was testifying for a bill to protect life from conception, I was confronted by a pro-abortion legislator on the committee who said,
“Where do you come off saying that to be a Christian, you must be pro-life?” She said, “The Bible is book on tolerance and Jesus never said the word ‘abortion.’”
My response was: “When you open that book, ‘Thou shalt not kill’ made the top ten commandments. And Jesus said, if you love me you’ll keep my commandments. In Proverbs 24:11 we are commanded to ‘rescue’ those who are ‘being carried away to death,’ and in Proverbs 31:8, we are commanded to be a ‘voice’ for those appointed to die.”
While marching is good, being pro-life is more than marching, it is stepping out to bring the killing to an end.
