A Father Gladly Served Jail Time to Save His Son’s LIfe
(1 min Audio Report – Faith2Action)
“There was a law broken, but it was broken for all the right reasons. I’m here now because of it.”
Those words by George Pickering the Third, whose father took a gun to Tomball Regional Medical Center and barricaded himself to keep the hospital from removing his son’s life support.
After three hours, George’s son, who has suffered a massive stroke, surprised everyone by squeezing his father’s hand on command, three times. The SWAT team saw that George wasn’t brain dead as he had been diagnosed and was making eye contact and following commands.
George recovered completely and his father gladly served a year in jail for his crime. He was freed for Christmas to spend time with his son, who is grateful to be alive.
